Shades, vintage. Bolo tie, my boyfriend’s.
Enjoying the last few days of summer in true free spirited, hippie style. We planned on getting lost for the day along unexplored roads, and so I dressed accordingly: floral bustier, denim cutoffs, long vest and gladiators. Accessorized with a pair of John Lennon shades and my beau’s bolo tie. We spent the whole day hanging outside, but nothing seemed to capture the proper vibe I was feeling (and wanted to capture in the photos). I have always loved sunflowers, and as a child I remember running through my grandfather’s endless fields of sunflowers, and he would always cut some down for me. But that was a memory far gone for a city dweller. As we continued on our adventure and nothing seemed to please the background I had in mind, I said to my boyfriend: What does a girl have to do around here to find some sunflowers?? Would you believe me if I told you that as soon as we turned onto the next road we came upon this field?
