If the embroidered lace detailing on the bell sleeves of this Free People top are any indication of what’s in store for spring then I am beyond excited. I’ll take all the pretty lace and crochet detailing please and thank you. Especially adore pieces that are simple yet draw your eye to one focal point with such magnificent detail, as is the case here. Another feature of this top (which unfortunately you cannot see here) is that it has a v-shaped open back.
A top like this would do very well dressed up (which I have every intention of doing) but you know me and how much I love my denim. Even more so this Seven for All Mankind pair which I have come to adore. So of course I could not resist this bohemian meets western look that I created with the help of a few accessories: western-style double buckle belt and of course cowboy style ankle boots. Which might I add look pretty good with a raw hemline. And such pretty embroidered lace. On a side note, the last time I owned a pair of frayed raw hem jeans Mariah Carey was playing Heartbreaker in the movie theatre and I was wearing them with a pink crochet crop top. It’s nice to see this trend revived and updated with today’s style.
