Floral Accents to Dress Up a Casual Outfit

Floral Accents to Dress Up a Casual Outfit

My absolute go to’s this Fall season for casual wear have been this pink lace up front sweater and distressed 7 for All Mankind jeans. Both pieces are beyond comfortable and I’ve pretty much been living in them. That being said, as cute as both pieces are they make for a very casual outfit. Which I’m not against but I do prefer to be dressed up just a little bit. While I love pendant necklaces, I don’t typically wear them with lace up sweaters. Reason being I find them too distracting on the neckline. I feel that the lace up in itself is a statement therefore don’t want to draw any attention away from that.

Without layered jewelry as an option, to make this casual look a bit more chic and playful I opted for a bright fuschia pink floral and leaf print scarf. Worn off to the side a bit it doesn’t detract from the lace up detailing of the sweater. I absolutely love the idea of incorporating floral accents to dress up a casual outfit. As illustrated here a bold print scarf does the trick.

If you’re not into floral scarves another way to incorporate flowers into fall outfits is by adding a statement clutch wallet. For example like the floral detailed one one I’m wearing here. Likewise a purse would do the trick too but I feel like with a clutch wallet you’re bound to flash it off more. As well, a cute floral design like this should be shown off.
