Military and Fall Florals

Pinkstix military crossbody bag

Give me military anything and I’m in. The military theme has always been a favourite of mine. So naturally when Pinkstix released their military crossbody bag I had to add it to my Fall lineup. And if you’ve been following my blog for a while you’ll know that I love a good juxtaposition. Hence why this look is styled with feminine accents instead of a more masculine vibe. The warm taupe is a great colour for fall. I also appreciate the easy to access interior compartment for cell phone storage. While you can’t tell from the photos, the bag has a leopard lining which just makes me smile every time I open the flap. Sucker for leopard print too…but really who isn’t!?

Mini skirts and OTK boots are a thing, and as usual I can’t seem to get away from denim bottoms. The raw hem on this skirt is super cute and I wanted to wear my pink lace up sweater with it but had to refrain as I’m sure you guys would appreciate seeing something new. So instead I wore an off the shoulder, balloon sleeve favourite.

An otherwise plain and simple outfit, I added a vibrant pop of colour with a fuschia pink scarf, also from Pinkstix’s FW 17 line. A bold scarf can be a great way to enhance an otherwise simple/casual outfit and make it pop. And of course the extra warmth factor. When styling a military crossbody bag a floral scarf can be a really fun way to make the overall look feminine.

And speaking of feminine, how cute is this wallet with floral detailing? It is actually the wallet to match the bag I wore here but I specifically opted for the blue colour to make things more fun. And of course it was all about matching it to the floral scarf for those days when I don’t feel like carrying a purse around.
