Been loving this mild winter we’ve been having. I cannot remember a February where I was ever able to wear a mini shift dress with practically bare legs. Usually at this time of the year we are buried under a foot of snow, if not more. As a result I styled a shift dress with a jean jacket and Converse sneakers with nylons for a laid back casual edgy look. Added an infinity scarf for warmth and a pop of colour.

Never have been a huge celebrator of Valentines Day due to the belief that love should be celebrated every day. Although it is nice to have an excuse for an extra special night with your loved one. If you are celebrating V-Day, whether with your boo or besties, I’ve put together a look for Valentine’s night.

I tend to prefer pinks over reds, and so I’ve revived this vintage fuschia pink silk pussy bow blouse, styled with lace and flower print stockings. I kept the skirt to a minimalistic black mini so as not to detract from the detailing of the blouse or hosiery. And of course I had to layer a chunky knit cape to offset the delicates of the silk blouse, and added a statement knit headband to throw everything together. Hope you like the look, and find your own way to celebrate love in style.

Our weather has been so up and down lately. One minute it feels like Spring, the next day it’s snowing. Not that I mind, but it leads to a bit of chaos in outfit coordination. So I’ve opted for layering to keep up with the weather madness.

Here I’m wearing a button front dress with a wool jacket, blanket scarf, and over the knee boots, because it turned out to be a bit more cold than expected. On a warmer day this same dress could easily have been worn with a shorter jacket and booties, sans the blanket scarf.

Hope you had a fab weekend!
