When it comes to brand name denim, I’ve always been a Rock & Republic kinda girl. I’m also very loyal so I seldom stray away from something that I like. That being said, I have never owned, or even so much as tried on, a pair of 7 for all Mankind jeans. Well…the other day when I was trying on jeans, my size only seemed to be available in a pile of 7 Jeans and so I gave them a shot. Holy smokes – where have these jeans been all my life!? (Well apparently everywhere, I was just too busy avoiding them) Not only did they fit PERFECTLY, but they have got to be the most comfiest jeans I have ever owned! (They feel like a nice pair of soft yoga pants – none of that stiff denim feel).

I usually struggle with finding jeans (or even pants) with a proper waist to hip ratio for my body type. Hence a lot of times I end up having to buy a size up just to get them over my hips only to be left with a baggy waistline. But not with these bad boys – snug as a bug! 7 For All Mankind jeans indeed – I am a newly converted believer! Styled here with Nasty Gal summer staples (crochet knit + bralette).

What are some of your favourite jean brands, and how do you find they fit?

Cotton Candy

Jacket, Old Navy. Top, Joe Fresh. Skirt, Forever 21. Bag, Chocolate. Shoes, Nine West. Sunnies, Foster Grant, Rings, Samantha Wills.

Wore this to work the other day and the only reason I had on a jean jacket was to combat the frigid temperatures of the office. However, I ended up really liking how the denim jacket accented the whole outfit. And so I put it back on for pictures even though it was scorching hot. I’ve always enjoyed mixing pink and blue together for a cotton candy kinda look so I upped the ante a bit by throwing floral and leopard prints into the mix.

Happy Wednesday!

Gingham Style

all thrifted look

Top, Garage. Skirt, vintage. Flats, Chinese Laundry. Bag, Chocolate. All silver, Child of Wild. Ring, Samantha Wills. Sunnies, Lulus.

From last week wearing a vintage navy blue gingham skirt styled with a lace back navy top and white ballet flats for an afternoon stroll. Hence the cute but comfy ballet flats. Was feeling matchy matchy so I opted for a navy blue top to go with the mini blue checkered print of the vintage skirt. Threw in a leopard detailed cobalt blue crossbody bag for a little bit of pattern mixing to spice things up a bit. All the clothing items in this post were thrifted: the lace top, gingham skirt and leopard bag. I actually couldn’t believe I managed to find this bag in a thrift store. It caught my eye immediately. And not to mention all the tags were still on it. Talk about a decent thrift haul.

Sorry for the lack of posts lately but we’ve been enjoying our summers a bit much now that warm weather finally hit up here, and keeping the blog up to date has been a bit challenging. Check out my Instagram if you’d like to keep up in real time.
