If you follow my Instagram then you probably know that I dyed my hair purple. It was one of those spontaneous things I decided on a few days before my regularly scheduled hair appointment. Usually for Fall I tend to go with darker hair colour and because I felt like doing something different, purple just seemed like a fun idea.

As for outfits, I wasn’t sure at first what colour would work with my purple hair so I played it safe by wearing a white romper to the salon. I bought this romper from Garage last year but didn’t get a chance to wear it. Thankfully rompers are still in this summer or else this poor thing would never have seen the light of day. As I write this, it’s been a week exactly since I’ve dyed my hair purple, and I have to admit that I have no regrets about going with such a bold colour. Every now and then when I’m out in public I’ll catch someone staring hardcore – then I remind myself that I do have bright purple hair after all. Have any of you ever dyed your hair a bold colour? Do tell…

Dress, Garage. Jacket, Old Navy. Knit, Winners. Jeans, Beanie, Zara. Booties, Dollhouse. Shades, Ray Ban.

A few days ago Toronto and area got hit with an ice storm that kind of came out of nowhere. We had just started to enjoy Spring like weather and then this happened. These pictures were taken along the way as we officially kicked off road tripping’ season. Clearly I’m in a Spring state of mind with this boho chic outfit. Although I wasn’t going to let some snow stop the floral bohemian vibes I was feeling I layered up so as not to freeze. There is nothing better than wearing jeans under a dress in situations like this I’ll tell ya.

Never have been a huge celebrator of Valentines Day due to the belief that love should be celebrated every day. Although it is nice to have an excuse for an extra special night with your loved one. If you are celebrating V-Day, whether with your boo or besties, I’ve put together a look for Valentine’s night.

I tend to prefer pinks over reds, and so I’ve revived this vintage fuschia pink silk pussy bow blouse, styled with lace and flower print stockings. I kept the skirt to a minimalistic black mini so as not to detract from the detailing of the blouse or hosiery. And of course I had to layer a chunky knit cape to offset the delicates of the silk blouse, and added a statement knit headband to throw everything together. Hope you like the look, and find your own way to celebrate love in style.
