Blue Tulip

Dress, Bedo. Cardigan, H&M. Flats, Aldo.

Wore a long cardigan over an azure blue tulip dress for brunch a few days ago. I have never been a fan of cardigans until I found a purpose for them: to downplay fancy pieces/delicate fabrics. I also chose flats for this very reason. Mixing contrasting pieces seems to be the trend right now, and this look was just another variation I spotted on the runways this season. Another newbie favourite of mine is to wear a long cardigan over mini skirts or shorts.

Have a lovely day!

Baby Blue Culottes for SS 2014

Top, similar. Culottes, similar. Heels, Steve Madden. Sunnies, here.

Culottes are back on the runway for S/S 2014 and although they have never been a favourite of mine, I have learned to appreciate the cropped, wide-leg pant for the chic piece that it can be. That being said, I decided to pair my baby blue culottes with a cropped knit from Nasty Gal and silver stilettos to rev up the chic factor. Been feeling baby blue hues lately so chose these over a black or white pair. Now tell me, how do you feel about culottes and how do you plan on styling yours?

Spring Shift

Dress, Zara. Jacket, Old Navy. Bag, Marc Jacobs. Boots, Winners.

Would you believe me if I told you more snow fell? I barely got to enjoy seeing grass on my lawn for 2 days before I woke up to yet another white coating…in the middle of April! …Moving on to the outfit. I am wearing a shift dress from Zara, but you can’t tell because I had to cover it up with a denim jacket. It was so cold that I wasn’t even willing to take it off for a minute to snap a photo! But I guess the denim does add a bit of life to the monotony of the basic colour scheme.

Have a lovely weekend!
