No word of a lie, I used to rock fishnets under bottoms with stilettos back in the day when it was such a foreign concept that I’d get sarcastic remarks like ‘are you wearing those underneath your pants for warmth?’  While I clearly wasn’t wearing hosiery with holes under my jeans for warmth, I enjoyed the subtle hint of fishnet that peeked through from below the hem of the pant with a nice stiletto. Although I must admit this trend does look a lot more edgier when worn with ripped jeans.

Furthermore, ripped jeans with fishnets is truly a look that no rocker babe can pass up. As such worn here with one of my favourite Iron Maiden band tees, a biker jacket, and leopard stilettos. As well, ripped jeans with fishnets can also be styled with sneakers to create a cute edgy look. However, personally I prefer to style ripped jeans with fishnets with an ultra feminine stiletto pump. It creates a rocker chic look that I cannot seem to pass up.

How do you feel about this trend? Are you wearing ripped jeans with fishnets? Would love to hear what you think.

Magical Mystery Tour indeed. Sometimes the Universe aligns itself to create serendipitous events, and for once I got to experience that kind of magic. My boyfriend and I had planned a roadtrip up to the Bruce Peninsula (Lake Huron/Ontario) for earlier this week. It was going to be a laid back get-lost-in-the-middle-of-nowhere kinda trip (hence the mystery tour). Now here’s where the magic comes in…Merely a few days before our trip two wonderful things happened. First, I found out I’d be taking over Bloglovin’s Snapchat for part of our trip. Secondly, this beautiful tunic for a collaboration with one of my absolute favourite brands, Free People arrived. Never thought it would arrive in time for our trip, but when this bell sleeve mini dress showed up two days before we left I was ecstatic to know we’d be able to shoot it in the beautiful wilderness of the Bruce Peninsula.

By now you must know that I am a total summer girl at heart, but for the first time in a long while I am actually excited for Fall. Bell sleeves are huge for this Fall season. And if the sleeves off this tunic are any indication of what to expect, then I am looking forward to every minute of it! This bell sleeve mini dress tunic also comes in a blue print, but I opted for a warmer mauve so that I could easily transition this piece from a mini summer dress into a tunic that I can layer over bottoms

I absolutely adore the boho print and versatility of this tunic and am looking forward to styling it differently once the weather cools down. Free People has many beautiful bohemian styled pieces in their line up right now. All with great colour palettes that will transition effortlessly from now well into the Fall season. See for yourself at FreePeople.com. Oh and I suppose I should also add that the Beatles had lots of airplay during this trip – also unplanned.

Dress, Free People. Shorts, Signature 8 (Nasty Gal). Shoes, Pink Martini. Purse, Rebecca Minkoff. Sunglasses, Gucci

Snagged this Free People sleeveless knit mini dress, (or is it a side slit maxi top?) from Saks Off 5th while on the hunt for a fringed bag. Wasn’t too sure at first how I would wear this side slit maxi top. But once I wrapped my head around the concept I realized you can get pretty creative with this piece.  starting with layering it over a pair of denim cutoffs.

What I especially love about this dress is the nomadic feel that this piece gives off. Makes me want to throw on a bikini bottom with doc marten boots and hit a desert somewhere…unfortunately for that dream I live in Canada and that is just not going to happen here. Although I might settle for a deserted beach if I can find one somewhere.
