Harvest Sunshine

Top, H&M. Shorts & Belt, Guess. Hosiery, The Bay. Sneakers, Converse. Sunglasses, Ray Ban.

There’s something about Autumn that always make me run to flannels, plaids and checker prints. While I’m not a huge fan of sweaters and will push wearing anything else I can to stay warm for as long as I can, flannels are usually warm and cozy enough for me. Another trend I seem to be into lately is wearing shorts with hosiery or over the knee socks. Trying to get the last bits of summer out of my system I assume.

But don’t be fooled. Although the sun was out it was still pretty chilly on this day, thank goodness for Indian summer. However I did have to pull out my fleece (and need I point out fuschia) blanket from the back of my truck to stay warm while we chilled outside.

Enjoy your weekend!

Into the Blue

Top, Shadow Edge from Nasty Gal. Jacket, Old Navy. Skirt, American Eagle. Sneakers, Converse. Bag, Coach. Sunnies, Ray Ban.

Here is another look from our road trip. Same idea here, trying to find something that will last all day without sacrificing style. Always tending to overpack I limited myself to only the clothes that I could fit inside my overnight TNA bag (not an easy feat I assure you!). As such, I decided on a few key basics that would mix and match for the entire trip. Basics like a denim mini skirt and shorts, crop tops, long sleeve shirts, a few sneakers and sunnies. Figured those were safe bets…let me know what you think, and stay tuned for more looks using the aforementioned basic pieces.

Hoodie, Bebe. Jeans, Garage. Belt, Jean Machine. Tank, old. Sneakers, Converse. Sunnies, Ray Ban.

Here is a look from that road trip me and the bf took which I mentioned in a previous post. The attempt was to create a look that was convenient and cute. To do this I chose to layer a lightweight knit pink crochet cami with a crop hoodie from bebe. Distressed boyfriend jeans with pink Chuck Taylors completed the look. Although I must mention that I owned these cute pink canvas kicks for not even a whole 24 hours before I subjected them to the abuse of rock climbing and hiking. More importantly I am happy to say that they survived (scuff free) to see another day.

Have a great week!
