40’s Style Vintage

Jacket, Garage. Sweater, Jacob. Skirt, vintage. Boots, Gloves, Winners. Sunnies, Dolce & Gabbana.

Took my b&w checkered jacket out for one last spin before I officially retire it for the season. (Well, here’s hoping…snow: please melt!) Felt that it needed a bit of dressing up so I paired the jacket with a vintage fuschia skirt and opera gloves for a classy, yet winterized, Audrey Hepburn look.

Have a beautiful day!

House of Illusions X Persun

Shirt c/o Persun (here). Boots, Aldo. Clutch, Nine West. Belt, Vintage. Sunglasses, Dolce & Gabbana. Wooden bangles, Mango.

I teamed up with Persun to show you a few of my favourite Spring pieces from their collection. While I’ve been crushing on a few different blouses for a while now it must’ve been fate when I found both in their Spring lineup! The first piece I picked out was this navy shirt for its versatility. The shirt can easily transition from winter to Spring by playing with the sleeve length.  Also by simply by pairing some leggings with it, as worn here.

At the same time I can’t wait for the snow to melt and warmer temperatures so that I can wear this shirt as a dress, sans leggings. This navy shirt also comes in black and white and is made from the most silkiest cotton I’ve ever felt!

The second item I’ve had my eye on is this blouse…stay tuned for my next post to see how I style it. However in the meantime make sure you check out Persun as they are running some great sales for Valentines Day!

Happy Monday!

Knit Me Up

knit cape for fall
knit cape from winners
Cape, Winners. Top, H&M. Jeans, Kenneth Cole. Boots, Aldo. Sunglasses, Dolce & Gabbana.

I picked up this knit cape from Winners a few seasons ago and it has been my go to Fall staple ever since. A knit cape is a great way to not only stay warm but also a simple enough way to dress up a plain outfit. Hence my all black outfit which would have otherwise been pretty boring on its own. Incidentally when I was younger I would scoff at capes, however now with age I have a newfound appreciation for the elegance of a cape. And as such I am looking forward to expanding my collection beyond the one knit cape. What are your thoughts on it?

Have a wonderful weekend!
