Electric Ladyland

Top, Shadow Edge Crop Tank from Nasty Gal. Skirt, Forever 21. Shoes, Steve Madden. Jacket, Old Navy. Pink bracelet, The Bay. Watch, Esquire. Turquoise bracelet & Larimar ring.

Here is a look sporting one of my latest acquisitions from Nasty Gal. What I love about this lattice back top is the simplicity of the front while the back reveals linear cutouts. Worn here with my flower print skater skirt and Steve Madden wedge sneakers which have proved to be a worthwhile investment.

Hope you are all enjoying the weekend…

Sundress, Denim and Oversized Sunnies

What started off as a quick coffee run turned into a drive and stroll through the local forest. When I initially crawled out of bed I simply did not have the brain power to think of what to wear. A sundress with oversized sunnies seemed easy enough to throw on. Hence why I love the summer, you can literally throw on one piece of fabric and be done with it!

On a side note, I just read an online article that was about ‘summer fashion trends that turn guys off’ and some of the trends listed were: oversized “celebrity” sunglasses, rompers, white lace, chunky/wedge shoes and overalls. Now, personally, I’m pretty sure that my boyfriend digs my oversized sunnies (which he refers to as my ‘Geddy Lee shades’) and I have to give them praise as they are quite forgiving when you are as sleep deprived as I was.

Having said all that, I would like to hear your thoughts on this ladies. What do you think of the aforementioned items being labeled boyfriend buzz kill?

Have a wonderful week!

My boo took me for a drive on a Friday afternoon and by pure fluke we found a great conservation area on our way. What initially was meant to be a stopover to take a few shots for the blog turned into a full expedition that my heels did not appreciate! In addition to the usual rough terrain one finds on a nature hike, we were also faced with ice and muddy areas. However, the view of the frozen lake was priceless when we got there! Although it doesn’t look like it, it was actually pretty warm and the sun even made a few appearances. And yes, I did get stopped by a random passerby who asked if my shoes were comfortable for the journey. Comfortable, yes. Appropriate, no.

Have a wonderful week!
