And another season of layering is upon us. Layering for warmth provides a great opportunity to play around with different patterns and textures. Take this outfit for example. I kept the colour scheme pretty neutral staying in a grey and white colour palette. Although in its simplicity was quite the mix of textures. A wool vest layered over a basic white ribbed knit worn with white jeans and suede over the knee boots. But texture alone wasn’t quite enough to take the mundane out of this outfit. My absolute go to’s this Fall season for casual wear have been this pink lace up front sweater and distressed 7 for All Mankind jeans. Both pieces are beyond comfortable and I’ve pretty much been living in them. That being said, as cute as both pieces are they make for a very casual outfit. Which I’m not against but I do prefer to be dressed up just a little bit. While I love pendant necklaces, I don’t typically wear them with lace up sweaters. Reason being I find them too distracting on the neckline. I feel that the lace up in itself is a statement therefore don’t want to draw any attention away from that.
