Contrast Collar Blouse

Blouse, c/o Persun (here). Trousers and Heels, Zara. Wooden bracelets, Mango. Silver bangle, Betsey Johnson. Skeleton ring, Nasty Gal. Purse, gifted. Snake ring, The Bay.

As briefly mentioned in my last post, this contrast collar blouse was crush # 2. I’ve been wanting one ever since I spotted a co-worker wearing a similar style. Now while crossing the border in search of one (how she got hers) wasn’t a feasible option, Persun was kind enough to fulfill my desire! The chiffon drapes beautifully; is soft and lightweight, and really comfy to wear with its loose, yet chict fit. And did I mention that it wrinkles a lot less than other fabrics? So it’s very reliable for those mornings when you simply need to grab a blouse and bottoms before flying out the door – without having to steam. Although be warned, if you chose the beige colour (it also comes in black) you need to have a nude bra on standby, as this baby is pretty sheer. Let me know what you think….

Harvest Sunshine

Top, H&M. Shorts & Belt, Guess. Hosiery, The Bay. Sneakers, Converse. Sunglasses, Ray Ban.

There’s something about Autumn that always make me run to flannels, plaids and checker prints. While I’m not a huge fan of sweaters and will push wearing anything else I can to stay warm for as long as I can, flannels are usually warm and cozy enough for me. Another trend I seem to be into lately is wearing shorts with hosiery or over the knee socks. Trying to get the last bits of summer out of my system I assume.

But don’t be fooled. Although the sun was out it was still pretty chilly on this day, thank goodness for Indian summer. However I did have to pull out my fleece (and need I point out fuschia) blanket from the back of my truck to stay warm while we chilled outside.

Enjoy your weekend!

Electric Ladyland

Top, Shadow Edge Crop Tank from Nasty Gal. Skirt, Forever 21. Shoes, Steve Madden. Jacket, Old Navy. Pink bracelet, The Bay. Watch, Esquire. Turquoise bracelet & Larimar ring.

Here is a look sporting one of my latest acquisitions from Nasty Gal. What I love about this lattice back top is the simplicity of the front while the back reveals linear cutouts. Worn here with my flower print skater skirt and Steve Madden wedge sneakers which have proved to be a worthwhile investment.

Hope you are all enjoying the weekend…
