The Straw Bag – A Must Have This Summer Season

Like in true Toronto fashion we went from winter to Spring, and now summer weather in about a two to three week period. For the first time in years the way things were headed I thought we would actually get a real spring. But I was wrong. Spring lasted maybe about a week and then we went right into the heatwave. Although no complaints about the heat here. From tulips to cherry blossoms almost overnight this is truly a glorious time of year with these pink beauties blossoming everywhere.

That being said, I updated my SS18 capsule with a few summery pieces, one being the straw bag. Even though at first I wasn’t convinced that I needed a straw bag. In fact, I was all set to pass up on the trend. But when I actually saw one in store – shocker, as I do most of my purchases online, I saw just how cute they are. After picking one up I got major summer vibes and thoughts of pretty peonies and frolicking in flower fields. At that moment I decided that I needed a straw bag.

So far I’ve been wearing my straw bag everywhere. I can also tell you that it looks cute dressed up or down. And a straw bag is even prettier with flowers in it. The best part is that straw bags come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and colours – so you can get as creative as you want. If there were to be only one accessory you were going to add to your spring and summer wardrobe, I’d make it a straw bag.
