Spring Favourites Roundup

Vichy Mineral 89

You guys, the struggles of living out in the country are real. I’ve attempted to publish this post on three separate occasions now, and each time the internet was down. For the day! Right – I didn’t even think that was a thing anymore either lol. But it is out here in the remote countryside. One of the few downsides of being out of the city I guess…

That being said, I received some beauty samples over the last few months and wanted to share my favourites with you.

Vichy’s Mineral 89 continues to be my holy grail of skincare. Although I’m sure you’ve heard me complain about my dry skin many times now, typically it’s been problematic mainly during winter. However lately that has not been the case. And it’s not even that my skin is just dry. It is so dry that it actually flakes. Pretty gross on it’s own, but it also makes putting on foundation or tinted moisturizer no bueno. Although I’ve tried rich day creams and even exfoliating weekly, nothing seems to work quite like the Mineral 89. It must be those minerals derived from the depths of French volcanoes that get it done. No peeling when I’m using the Mineral 89. I typically use the Mineral 89 after cleansing before putting on my makeup and all is well with the world again.

Whether you’re looking to give your skin a specific treatment or simply pamper yourself, MaskerAide sheet masks are life. They are a fantastic way to give yourself a spa type facial right from the comfort of your own home. They feel so good on that there really is nothing else to do other than just sit back and relax – and enjoy the treatment.

MaskerAide sheet mask

My favourite thing about MaskerAide is that the sheet masks are formulated without parabens, mineral oils, sulfates, and phthalates – meaning I feel good about having the product absorbed by my skin.

The sheet masks are soothing from the minute you put them on and infused with the most pleasant scents. Each mask is tailored to a specific treatment for you skin and they contain different ingredients ranging from lavender oil, aloe leaf, hyaluronic acid, collagen, argan oil, green tea, cactus and orange peel oil amongst many others.

Not to mention their cute and girly packaging which I am all for. Always a sucker for cute packaging. But I digress…after the treatment my skin feels completely rejuvenated and softer than you can imagine. The scent lingers for a little while afterwards too which is really nice.

Jouviance has become a favourite skincare brand for me ever since they not only made me aware of “tech neck” but also helped me to improve it with their Contour+. Their new launches are just as good at delivering results. The Vitamin C Youth Boosting Night Serum has just the right amount of vitamin C to help neutralize free radicals caused by pollution and UV rays as well as brighten the complexion and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

The formula has a subtle scent and absorbs well into the skin leaving it softer, brighter, more plump. And it helps to lighten dark spots too.

Jouviance 3D Action Boost face and eye cream

The 3D Action Boost I love because not only is it a face cream, but it can also be used along the eyes. This is so great because I no longer have to worry about getting a separate product for the eyes – the 3D Action Boots takes care of it all. I’ve gotten to the point in my life where I need to use anti-aging products on a regular basis or my fine lines become well, not so fine. Jouviance helps keep my skin looking youthful, and while I am lucky enough not to have crow’s feet I do love that the night cream is working as a preventative measure against those said wrinkles.

Although this particular product isn’t specific to the season I wanted to share it for any potential tea lovers out there. I’ve been raving over this tea on my Instagram for a while mostly because of how flavourful and fragrant Kusmi Tea is. Anyone I’ve shared it with so far has loved it, so I just thought I would share my promo code in case any of you would like to try it. Use ‘HOUSE10’ for 10% off the Kusmi Tea site. My current favourite blends are the Alain Ducasse and pretty much any of their bergamot teas. Enjoy!

And lastly, the prettiest addition to our new home. I received this cute print from SnaptureThis, a local Toronto print and card shop. SnaptureThis has a ton of cute and witty cards and prints, all reasonably priced and some with the option to print right at home. The shop owner is really sweet and can also create custom prints for you as well. ‘Agnes2019’ if you’d like to snap your own print. Now my next mission in life will be to create an accent wall full of prints.

Hope you enjoyed my round up and I’ll see you in a couple of days with more spring outfits. Until then lovelies!
