Hey friends! After talking about it all summer, I’m excited to finally share with you our wishing well flower garden. In case you haven’t been keeping up on Instagram stories, we had this abandoned fire pit right in the middle of our yard left by the previous owners. Since we created a new fire pit in another
area of the property, the old pit had turned into a glorified weed garden over the past two years. (You can see some before photos here.)
At first we were just going to get rid of the old fire pit entirely and put down grass seed. The previous owners had also left behind a wishing well. It just sat awkwardly on the lawn and served no purpose whatsoever. We had no clue what to do with it….
We were also working on our vegetable garden at the same time and in a way I think that inspired us to re-purpose the old fire pit instead of demolishing it altogether. In the end we ended up creating a wishing well flower garden. I had no idea that gardening could be so much fun.
